Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior HVAC Engineer focused on our Data Center market. You will lead the Building Mechanical team on projects, perform field investigations, interface with clients and vendors, size and select equipment, and prepare construction design packages.

You’ll manage schedule and technical quality of complex HVAC designs, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver innovative, reliable systems for critical facilities.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of HVAC design experience.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC codes and standards.
• BS in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Able to lead a building mechanical team.
• Collaborates with disciplines remotely.

Responsibilities

• Layout and design HVAC systems for data centers and other facilities.
• Develop design criteria and perform sizing and equipment selection.
• Prepare P&IDs and general arrangements.
• Produce final design documents including specs and sequences of operation.
• Mentor junior staff.
• Manage project schedule and technical quality.
