Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior HVAC Engineer for the Data Center market. You will lead the Building Mechanical team on projects, perform field investigations, size and select equipment, and prepare comprehensive construction design packages. Expect oversight of schedule and technical accuracy while mentoring junior staff and collaborating with clients and vendors.

The role supports a hybrid work model with emphasis on delivering high‑impact HVAC solutions across diverse industrial facilities.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in HVAC system design.
• Thorough knowledge of HVAC codes and standards.
• BS in Mechanical Engineering.
• Ability to lead a building mechanical team and collaborate remotely.

Responsibilities

• Layout and design HVAC systems for data centers and heavy industrial facilities.
• Develop design criteria for HVAC systems including climate control and cleanliness where required.
• Create conceptual and preliminary design documents with calculations and P&IDs.
• Layout ductwork based on P&ID.
• Prepare final design documents including specifications and sequences of operation.
