Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior HVAC Engineer for the Data Center market, leading the Building Mechanical team on challenging projects. You will perform design, calculations, and develop P&IDs, while interfacing with clients and vendors to size and select equipment.

You’ll ensure schedule and technical quality across tasks, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to establish design bases and produce construction documents. This role offers hybrid work in the US.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in HVAC system design.
• Thorough knowledge of codes and standards for HVAC design.
• BS in Mechanical Engineering.
• Adaptability to a fast-paced team with multiple deadlines.
• Ability to lead a building mechanical team and collaborate remotely.

Responsibilities

• Layout and design HVAC systems for data centers and heavy industrial facilities.
• Develop design criteria and Calculations, P&IDs, and general arrangements.
• Prepare final design documents including specifications and sequences of operation.
