Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior HVAC Engineer to lead our Building Mechanical team on data center projects. You will design HVAC systems, size equipment, and develop design criteria while coordinating with clients and vendors to meet schedule and budget.

You will also mentor less experienced staff and contribute to multi-disciplinary design efforts in a hybrid work environment to deliver optimized solutions for demanding facilities.

Qualifications

• Eight years of HVAC design experience.
• Thorough knowledge of HVAC codes and standards.
• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
• Ability to lead a building mechanical team and collaborate remotely.

Responsibilities

• Layout and design HVAC systems for diverse clients including data centers.
• Develop design criteria for HVAC systems including cleanroom requirements.
• Prepare calculations, P&IDs, and general arrangements.
• Create final design documents and construction drawings.
• Mentor junior staff.
• Coordinate with clients and vendors.
