Jacobs is seeking a high-energy Mechanical HVAC Engineer to focus on our Data Center market. You will design and size HVAC systems, perform field investigations, interface with clients and vendors, and prepare construction design packages for data center projects.

You will lead system layout, develop design criteria, produce P&IDs, coordinate with disciplines, and help ensure on-time delivery within budget. This role offers a hybrid arrangement with opportunities across U.S.

Qualifications

• 8+ years’ experience in HVAC design.
• PE license or ability to obtain in 6 months.
• Thorough knowledge of codes and standards related to HVAC design.
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Mechanical preferred
• Adaptability to work within a fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
• Ability to lead a building mechanical team on a project and collaborate remotely.

Responsabilités

• Layout and design of HVAC systems for data centers, EVs, and heavy facilities.
• Develop design criteria for HVAC systems including temperature/humidity control and cleanroom requirements.
• Develop conceptual and preliminary design documents with calculations and P&IDs.
• Layout of ductwork systems based on P&ID.
• Develop final design documents including specifications, sequences of operation, piping layout, and construction drawings.
• Coordinate with other disciplines.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to meet scope, budget, and schedule.
