Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a high-energy, Senior HVAC Engineer to focus on the Data Center market. You will lead our Building Mechanical team on projects, perform field investigations, interface with clients & vendors, size and select equipment, and preparing construction design packages.

You’ll be accountable for the schedule and technical quality of challenging engineering tasks as you gain familiarity with the client’s expectations, scope, budget, and schedule.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of experience designing HVAC systems.
• Thorough knowledge of codes and standards for HVAC design.
• BS in Mechanical Engineering and related disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Layout and design HVAC systems for data centers, EVs and heavy industrial facilities.
• Develop design criteria and calculations for HVAC systems including humidification and cleanliness requirements.
• Create P&IDs and conceptual/preliminary design documents with system sizing and equipment selection.
• Develop final design documents with specifications and operation sequences.
• Mentor junior staff and collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams.
