Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior HVAC Engineer focused on the Data Center market to lead the Building Mechanical team and deliver innovative HVAC design solutions. You will perform field investigations, size equipment, interface with clients and vendors, and prepare construction design packages.

You will drive project schedules, ensure technical quality, and mentor junior staff while collaborating with a multi-discipline team to meet client expectations and deadlines.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in HVAC design.
• Thorough knowledge of HVAC codes and standards.
• BS in Mechanical Engineering.
• Ability to lead a building mechanical team on projects and collaborate remotely.

Responsibilities

• Layout and design HVAC systems for data centers, EVs, and heavy industrial facilities.
• Develop design criteria and P&IDs, including calculations for sizing and equipment selection.
• Create final design documents: specifications, sequences of operation, piping layouts, and construction docs.
