Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior HVAC Engineer for the Data Center market. You will lead the Building Mechanical team, perform field investigations, interface with clients and vendors, and size and select equipment for construction design packages.

You will own the schedule and technical quality of projects, develop design bases, create calculations and P&IDs, and produce final construction documents. This hybrid role promotes collaboration across disciplines and opportunities to mentor staff.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in HVAC design for data centers or similar facilities.
• Knowledge of relevant codes and standards governing HVAC design.
• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
• Ability to lead a Building Mechanical team and collaborate remotely.

Responsibilities

• Layout and design HVAC systems for data centers and other facilities.
• Develop design criteria and size/select equipment.
• Prepare P&IDs, calculations, and drawings for construction.
• Mentor junior staff and manage project schedules and quality.
