Job summary

Jacobs is hiring a Senior HVAC Engineer to focus on the Data Center market. You will lead the Building Mechanical team, perform field investigations, size and select equipment, and prepare construction packages.

You’ll manage schedule and technical quality while interfacing with clients and vendors in a hybrid work setting. The role requires 8+ years in HVAC design, strong knowledge of codes, and a BS in Mechanical Engineering.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years’ experience in the design of HVAC systems.
• Thorough knowledge of codes and standards related to HVAC design.
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Adaptability to fast-paced team environment with multiple deadlines.
• Ability to lead a building mechanical team on projects and collaborate remotely.

Responsibilities

• Layout and design HVAC systems for data centers and industrial facilities.
• Develop design criteria including temperature, humidity, and cleanliness needs.
• Prepare conceptual and final design documents with calculations and P&IDs.
• Lead multi-discipline design efforts and coordinate with clients and vendors.
• Mentor less experienced staff and ensure schedule and quality control.
