Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Controls Lead Systems Specialist to serve as the on-site project leader for HVAC control systems projects. You will guide the full lifecycle from design and programming through commissioning and closeout, balancing technical delivery with customer satisfaction and safety.

Responsibilities include coordinating hardware design and programming, managing project costs, and mentoring field technicians.

Qualifications

• Two years field experience in HVAC or four years related field experience.
• Hands-on design and commissioning of digital HVAC controls systems.
• Ability to communicate technical material clearly to a non-technical audience.
• Ability to perform work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Lead the on-site execution of HVAC controls projects from start to finish.
• Coordinate hardware design, system programming, installation coordination, and commissioning.
• Manage project costs, billings, collections, and overall financial performance.
• Track scope changes, directives, schedules, and change orders; support documentation.
• Maintain clear communication with customers through planning, execution, and handover.
