Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a Controls Project Manager for HVAC to lead on-site projects from planning to commissioning. You will coordinate internal teams, subcontractors, and customers to deliver complete systems on time and within scope while balancing customer satisfaction with profitability.

The role requires strong technical HVAC/Building Automation knowledge, vendor coordination, and effective communication. Competitive salary and comprehensive benefit programs are provided.

Qualifications

• Requires technical associate degree with 4 years field experience or 6 years related field experience in HVAC/Building Automation.
• Experience in designing and commissioning digital HVAC or Building Automation controls systems.
• Strong HVAC controls knowledge and understanding of control theory.

Responsibilities

• Lead HVAC controls projects from design through commissioning and closeout.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, electricians, technicians, designers and staff.
• Manage project financials: costs, billings, collections, cash flow and margin.
• Maintain customer communication and build long-term relationships.
• Review scope and change orders; manage procurement and deliveries.
• Oversee system checkout, commissioning and validation of functionality.
• Prepare as-built records and commissioning documentation.
