Job summary

Johnson Controls seeks a Controls Project Manager for the HVAC division to lead on-site project execution from pre-construction through commissioning and closeout. You will coordinate internal teams, subcontractors, and customers to ensure safety, schedule, and budget adherence while meeting contract requirements.

You will drive planning, scheduling, cost control, risk mitigation, and quality assurance across the project lifecycle, leading meetings and documenting progress to sustain strong

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include an associate degree in Construction Management, Engineering Technology, HVAC Technology, Building Automation Systems, or related field with at least four years of project experience.
• Hands-on experience in design, startup, commissioning, and turnover of digital HVAC or BAS control systems.
• Demonstrated construction management experience including planning, scheduling, and subcontractor coordination.
• Proficiency with Windows, Excel, project management software and scheduling tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead HVAC controls projects through design, programming, installation, commissioning and closeout.
• Coordinate day-to-day execution with subcontractors, installers, technicians and designers.
• Manage project financial performance including costs, billings, cash flow and gross margin.
• Maintain regular communication with customers and develop long-term relationships.
• Review contracts, directives, and change orders; pursue additional work when identified.
• Coordinate procurement activities and delivery schedules.
