Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a Controls Lead Systems Specialist to manage on-site HVAC control projects from design through commissioning and handover. You will mentor technicians and coordinate with subcontractors while ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

In this role you’ll lead scope, schedule, and cost management, prepare documentation, and provide training to owner/operators, with a focus on delivering reliable building performance and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Technical Associate’s Degree with two years field experience, or four years equivalent field experience in HVAC.
• Hands-on experience in systems design and commissioning of digital HVAC controls systems.
• Ability to communicate technical material clearly to a non-technical audience.
• Ability to perform work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site execution of HVAC controls projects from start to finish.
• Coordinate hardware design, system programming, installation coordination, and commissioning activities.
• Manage project costs, billings, collections, and overall financial performance.
• Track scope changes, directives, and change orders; support project documentation.
