Job summary

Johnson Controls is hiring an HVAC Controls Lead Project Systems Specialist to lead on-site control systems projects from design through handover. You will manage technical delivery, customer satisfaction and project profitability across multiple sites.

The role requires strong knowledge of HVAC systems, DDC programming, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Excellent collaboration and safety practices are essential.

Qualifications

• Technical associate degree with two years of field experience in HVAC.
• HVAC experience with mechanical systems and DDC.
• Hands-on experience in system design and commissioning of digital HVAC controls.
• Able to convey technical material to a non-technical audience.
• Capable of independent on-site project management with limited supervision.
• Strong understanding of control theory and HVAC systems.
• Knowledge of project accounting, costing principles, and contracting.

Responsibilities

• Lead on-site control systems projects to meet scope, schedule, and budget.
• Oversee hardware design, programming, installation coordination, commissioning, and closeout.
• Manage project costs, billings, cash flow, and profitability.
• Coordinate communication with the customer across all phases.
• Provide coaching to technicians and subcontractors.
