Job summary

GFT is looking for an experienced Substation P & C Designer to join their Power Group, focusing on high-voltage substation designs up to 765 kV. You will be responsible for generating detailed engineering deliverables, preparing one- and three-line diagrams, and ensuring project compliance with industry standards.

Candidates should have 5+ years of relevant experience and proficiency with tools like AutoCAD. The position offers a hybrid work model and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and competitive PTO.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in substation or electrical design.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and MicroStation.
• Familiar with National Electrical Safety Code and IEEE standards.

Responsibilities

• Design high-voltage substation projects ranging from 4 kV to 765 kV.
• Prepare detailed engineering deliverables and basic calculations.
• Develop diagrams, schematics, and relay panel layouts.
