Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to lead testing, commissioning, and initial energization for utility-scale HV substations and battery energy storage systems. This fully remote position involves collaborating with project teams and attending meetings.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and 8-10 years of relevant experience, including high voltage switching operations. Key benefits include medical, dental, and 401(k) enrollment.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of experience in testing and commissioning of HV substations, BESS, and utility-scale PV facilities.
• 3–4 years’ experience performing and directing high voltage switching operations.
• Strong safety record and compliance with OSHA, NFPA 70E, and utility procedures.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support testing, commissioning, and initial energization activities.
• Attend stakeholder meetings and develop T&C Plans.
• Perform high voltage switching operations as required.
