Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Commissioning Engineer responsible for leading testing and commissioning activities for utility-scale HV substations and battery systems. The position involves travel and acts as the primary technical interface between multiple stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have significant experience in high voltage operations, along with a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field. The role is fully remote, offering a competitive salary and benefits package.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of experience in testing and commissioning of HV substations, BESS, and utility-scale PV facilities.
• 3–4 years’ experience performing and directing high voltage switching operations.
• NETA Certification (Level II, III, or IV).

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning and initial energization activities for HV substations and BESS.
• Develop Testing & Commissioning Plans aligned with specifications.
• Provide onsite training and mentor junior staff.
