Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Commissioning Engineer to lead testing and commissioning activities for utility-scale high-voltage substations and battery energy storage systems. This fully remote position involves significant technical interaction and travel (20-30%).

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, extensive experience in HV substations, and strong communication skills. Benefits include medical insurance, a 401(k) plan, and a competitive salary range from $115,576 to $141,581.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of experience in testing and commissioning of HV substations, BESS, and utility-scale PV facilities.
• 3–4 years’ experience performing high voltage switching operations.
• NETA Certification (Level II, III, or IV) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support initial energization activities for high-voltage substations.
• Develop Testing & Commissioning Plans aligned with project specifications.
• Provide onsite training and mentor junior staff.
