Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Commissioning Engineer responsible for testing and commissioning HV substations and battery storage systems. The role requires strong expertise in HV operations and a commitment to safety standards.

The ideal candidate will have 8–10 years of relevant experience, including leading energization activities and developing commissioning plans. This position is fully remote, offering a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years experience in testing and commissioning of HV substations and BESS.
• 3–4 years experience performing high voltage switching operations.
• Proven commitment to safety, including OSHA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support testing, commissioning, and energization for HV substations.
• Develop Testing & Commissioning Plans aligned with project specifications.
• Perform and coordinate harmonic measurements during commissioning.

Skills

High voltage switching experience

Technical knowledge of protection and control systems

Strong communication skills

Experience with harmonic analyzers

Education

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related discipline
