Job summary

SOLV Energy is looking for a Commissioning Engineer to lead testing, commissioning, and initial energization for HV substations and battery storage systems. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and 8–10 years of relevant experience.

This fully remote role involves developing T&C Plans, performing high voltage switching operations, and providing technical support. Benefits include medical insurance, a 401(k) plan, and paid vacation. Salary ranges from $115,576 to $141,581.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in testing and commissioning of HV substations, BESS, and utility‑scale PV facilities.
• 3–4 years’ experience performing and directing high voltage switching operations.
• NETA Certification (Level II, III, or IV).

Responsibilities

• Lead and support testing, commissioning, and initial energization activities for utility-scale HV substations.
• Develop Testing & Commissioning (T&C) Plans aligned with project specifications.
• Perform or coordinate harmonic measurements and power quality assessments during commissioning.
