Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Commissioning Engineer responsible for testing and commissioning utility-scale high-voltage substations, battery storage systems, and photovoltaic facilities. The role requires 8-10 years of experience and involves a significant remote work component.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8–10 years of experience in testing and commissioning of HV substations, BESS, and utility-scale PV facilities.
• 1–2 years of experience developing commissioning plans, energization procedures, and technical training materials.
• Strong commitment to safety and proven compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Attend Owner, Utility, and stakeholder meetings as requested.
• Develop Testing & Commissioning Plans aligned with project specifications.
• Lead and support initial substation energization activities and provide onsite training.

Skills

Technical knowledge of protection and control systems

Harmonic analysis

Education

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related discipline
