Job summary

WSP is seeking a POWER Testing and Energization (PTE) Lead P&C Field Services Technician to support project locations in Texas and Louisiana. You will lead field operations, perform protective relay testing, and ensure safety and quality while coordinating with engineers, technicians, and clients.

You will mentor field crews, manage site logistics, document activities, and contribute to the overall delivery of power testing and energization services for high voltage substations and power systems.

Qualifications

• 11+ years in electrical testing including HV equipment
• Experience with transmission/generation/ distribution relays and protective schemes
• Advanced testing of microprocessor relays and calibration using test sets

Responsibilities

• Lead field operations for complex electrical testing projects.
• Perform protective relay testing and on-site commissioning of HV substations.
• Mentor technicians and ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with engineers, clients, and subcontractors to deliver tasks efficiently.
