WSP USA is seeking a POWER Testing and Energization (PTE) Lead P&C Field Services Technician for project locations in Texas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma. You will lead field operations, provide expert technical guidance, and oversee day-to-day activities in electrical testing and commissioning for substations and bulk power systems.
The role requires extensive relays testing experience, calibration skills, and strong safety leadership.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 11+ years in electrical testing, high/medium voltage gear, substation tests.
- Experience with transmission, generation, or distribution relays and protective schemes.
- Advanced testing skills with relay calibration and test sets (Omicron, Doble).
- Familiarity with standards (NETA, IEEE, NFPA).
- Willingness to travel up to 80%.
Responsabilités
- Lead field operations for complex electrical testing projects.
- Mentor technicians and coordinate with engineers/subcontractors.
- Ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance on site.
- Document site activities using data tools and field reports.
- Communicate progress and risks to project leadership.
