Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a POWER Testing and Energization (PTE) Experienced P&C Field Services Technician to join our team across multiple U.S. locations.

You will perform testing and commissioning of high voltage protection and control systems, document data, and support field operations on substations and power systems. Ideal candidates have deep knowledge of relay testing, field data tools, and safety practices, with the ability to travel up to 80% and mentor junior technicians while contributing

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with protective relays testing and high voltage systems preferred.
• Strong documentation and data integrity skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform testing and commissioning tasks for Protection and Control systems on high voltage substations.
• Perform on-site testing using relay test sets (Omicron CMC 256/356, Doble F6150) for relays such as SEL-311L, SEL-387, and more.
• Document site activities using field forms, digital tools, and mobile apps.
• Support Project Lead or Field Supervisor and escalate complex issues as needed.
• Mentor junior technicians and uphold safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
