Job summary
WSP USA is seeking a POWER Testing and Energization (PTE) Lead P&C Technician Field Services with extensive HV testing experience. The role covers field leadership, testing, and commissioning of protection and control systems for substations and power systems.
Qualified candidates will have 11+ years in electrical testing, strong relay testing skills, and proven ability to mentor field teams, ensure safety, and coordinate with engineers and subcontractors in dynamic environments.
Qualifications
- 11+ years in electrical testing, incl. HV breakers and transformers
- Experience with protective relays and testing using Omicron/Doble gear
- Strong field leadership and safety discipline
Responsibilities
- Lead field operations on complex projects with expert guidance
- Perform protection and control testing on HV substations
- On-site relay testing with Omicron/Doble equipment
- Mentor technicians and coordinate field crews
- Ensure safety compliance and quality as per standards
- Communicate progress and risks to project leadership
