Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a POWER Testing and Energization (PTE) Lead P&C Technician Field Services to oversee field operations across multiple western states. You will lead testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting of protection and control systems in HV substations, coordinating with engineers and clients.

You will mentor junior technicians, enforce safety programs, and ensure data collection and reporting align with project requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Extensive experience in electrical testing, HV systems, and protection and controls testing.
• Experience with transmission, generation, or distribution relays and protective schemes.

Responsibilities

• Lead field operations for complex electrical testing projects with expert technical guidance.
• Perform testing and commissioning of protection and control systems on HV substations.
• Mentor technicians and coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, and clients.
• Ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance across field activities.
• Document site activities using field forms and digital tools.
• Lead readiness planning, equipment inspections, and data reporting.
