Job summary

WSP is seeking a POWER Testing and Energization (PTE) Experienced P&C Field Services Technician to support testing and commissioning activities at project locations across the U.S., including NC. The role focuses on high voltage substations, protection and control testing, relay calibration, and data documentation.

You will work with PTE teams, follow IEEE, NETA, NFPA standards, and mentor junior technicians while ensuring safety and quality on busy field sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 7+ years in electrical testing, including HV breakers and transformers.
• Expertise with protective relays and testing equipment.
• Knowledge of IEEE, NETA, NFPA standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform protection and control testing on high-voltage substations.
• Conduct on-site relay testing using Omicron and Doble equipment.
• Document field activities with logs and digital tools.
• Support project lead and communicate progress to the team.
• Ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance on sites.
