Job summary

WSP is seeking a POWER Testing and Energization (PTE) Lead P&C Field Services Technician for projects in Texas and Louisiana. The role focuses on testing and commissioning high voltage protection and control systems in substations and power facilities.

You will lead field teams, mentor technicians, coordinate with engineers and clients, and ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance while documenting field activities. Travel up to 80% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree preferred in electrical engineering or related field.
• Minimum 11 years in electrical testing with HV/ MV experience.
• Experience with protective relays and testing standards (NETA/IEEE/NFPA).
• Strong field leadership and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead field operations for complex projects with expert technical guidance.
• Perform testing and commissioning of protection and control systems.
• Mentor technicians and coordinate with engineers, subs contractors and clients.
• Ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance on site.
• Document site activities using field forms and digital tools.
• Travel up to 80% as required.
