Job summary

WSP is seeking a POWER Testing and Energization (PTE) Lead P&C Field Services Technician for Texas and Louisiana sites. You will lead field teams, perform high-voltage protection testing and relay calibration, and ensure project safety and quality on substations and power systems.

The role requires advanced experience with relay testing, field documentation, and collaboration with engineers, contractors, and project managers. Travel up to 80% is expected.

Qualifications

Minimum 11 years in electrical testing, including LV/HV breakers and substations.
Expertise with transmission/generation/ distribution relays and protective schemes.
Advanced relay testing/calibration using Omicron F6150 or similar.
Familiarity with NETA, IEEE, NFPA standards and safety practices.

Responsibilities

Lead field operations for complex projects and guide day-to-day site activities.
Test and commission protection and control systems on substations up to 500 kV.
Mentor technicians, manage field logistics, and communicate with leadership.
Ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance on site.
