Job summary

WSP USA seeks a POWER Testing and Energization (PTE) Lead P&C Field Services Technician for project locations in Texas, New Mexico, and Oklahoma. You will oversee field operations, provide technical guidance, and ensure safety and quality in electrical testing and commissioning of substations and power systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (minimum).
• 11+ years in electrical testing including HV equipment and substations.
• Expertise with transmission/generation/distribution relays and protective schemes.
• Advanced skills with relay calibration and test sets (Omicron/Doble).
• Knowledge of testing standards (NETA/IEEE/NFPA).
• Proven ability to operate in field settings and lead teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead field operations for complex projects with expert technical guidance.
• Coordinate with engineers and subcontractors to ensure compliant field delivery.
• Mentor technicians and manage site logistics and safety.
• Perform on-site testing and commissioning of protection and control systems.
• Maintain clear communication with clients and project leadership.
