Contract Pharmacal Corp. is seeking a Senior Manager of Human Resources to oversee daily HR operations, implement policies, and partner with leadership on hiring, development, and retention.

The role ensures legal compliance and aligns HR activities with organizational goals. The ideal candidate will have seven or more years of progressive HR experience, including supervisory responsibilities, with a background in union/non-union manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field.
• Minimum seven (7) years of progressive HR experience, including at least three (3) years supervising HR professionals.
• HR Certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily workload by prioritizing tasks and delegating work; report metrics to executives.
• Lead junior HR staff with coaching and mentorship; promote continuous learning.
• Partner with department heads to identify staffing needs, write job descriptions, source and screen candidates, conduct interviews, and extend offers.
• Oversee onboarding, training, performance reviews, promotions, and exit processes.
• Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational goals.
• Develop and enforce HR policies and procedures.
• Oversee HR Hotline responsiveness to employees.
• Support promotion and compensation review processes with fairness and equity.
• Stay current on employment laws and ensure compliance.
• Utilize HRIS to maintain records, generate reports, and analyze data.
• Monitor HR processes and drive continuous improvement.
• Handle forms (leave of absence, disability, verifications, I-9).
• Manage mandatory compliance reporting and postings at multiple levels.
• Handle grievances, disciplinaries, investigations, terminations, and conflict resolution.
• Identify training needs and coordinate employee development programs.
• Collaborate with Payroll and Benefits to process status changes and leave claims.
• Other duties as assigned by senior leadership.
