Job summary

D.R. Horton is seeking an on-site Superintendent to manage day-to-day construction across multiple homes. You will supervise subcontractors, keep schedules, ensure quality, safety standards, and maintain positive homeowner communication from permit to closing.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years of supervision experience in homebuilding, read plans well, coordinate trades, and communicate clearly with homeowners and teams. Full-time, on-site role with a leading builder.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; two to four years of related experience.
• Strong communication skills with customers and team members.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents, plans and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Manage the construction schedule and ensure the highest quality product is delivered on time and within budget.
• Schedule subcontractors for each phase and verify workmanship meets codes.
• Complete each home site from planning through occupancy and satisfy contract obligations.
• Inspect subcontractor workmanship and halt noncompliant work.
• Oversee warranty post-close and manage customer communications.
