Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking a Superintendent to manage all functions of the job site for home construction, coordinating subcontractors, inspections and homeowner walkthroughs from permit to close. The role focuses on delivering quality homes on schedule while maintaining safety standards.

Candidates should have 2–4 years of related experience and the ability to read construction documents. A GED is acceptable; a bachelor’s degree is a plus. Travel between communities will be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• Two to four years related construction experience.
• Ability to manage and complete construction milestones.
• Must have a vehicle and valid driver’s license for travel among communities.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs.

Responsibilities

• Manage the construction schedule to deliver high-quality homes on time and within budget.
• Schedule subcontractors and evaluate workmanship for compliance with plans and codes.
• Complete homes from planning through occupancy and ensure contract obligations are met.
• Inspect subcontractors and authorize payments after satisfactory work.
• Manage customer experience and communicate progress to homeowners.
