Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking a Superintendent to manage all functions of the job site for single- and multi-home construction. You will schedule and supervise subcontractors, conduct homeowner walkthroughs, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards from permit to closing.

The role requires reading construction documents, coordinating trades, and maintaining schedules and budgets while delivering a superior customer experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work.

Responsibilities

• Manage the construction schedule to deliver high quality homes on time and within budget.
• Schedule subcontractors for each phase and verify workmanship complies with codes and standards.
• Complete home sites from planning through occupancy, ensuring all contract obligations are met.
• Inspect workmanship and halt noncompliant work; authorize payment after satisfactory work.
• Oversee customer experience during construction, communicate progress, and address concerns.
• Maintain site cleanliness and organize work areas for safety and aesthetics.
• Manage post-close warranty process and coordinate necessary subcontractors.
• Communicate with sales, warranty, and management teams to resolve issues.

Education
