Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for a Superintendent to manage all functions of the job site as it relates to home construction. You will schedule and supervise subcontractors, conduct homeowner walks, and ensure compliance with safety standards from permit to closing.

Key duties include maintaining schedules, controlling costs, and delivering high-quality homes on time. The role emphasizes customer service and collaboration with sales and warranty teams to resolve issues promptly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Two to four years related experience in construction.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents and drawings.
• Knowledge of municipal permitting, regulations and building codes.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to drive between communities.

Responsibilities

• Manage the construction schedule and ensure on-time, quality homes.
• Schedule subcontractors and supervise workmanship to code standards.
• Complete each home site from planning to occupancy.
• Inspect subcontractors and approve payments after satisfactory work.
• Oversee customer experience and provide status updates.
• Maintain site cleanliness and safety, and manage warranty posts.
• Coordinate with sales, warranty, and management teams.
