Job summary

D.R. Horton is seeking a Superintendent-IS to oversee site construction across multiple homes from permit to closing, coordinating subcontractors, inspections, and customer walkthroughs. You will enforce quality, safety, and schedule adherence while maintaining budget and company standards.

Responsibilities include coordinating phases, approving subcontractor payments, guiding homeowners, and ensuring compliance with building codes and DRH processes across communities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2–4 years related experience in construction.
• Ability to read/interpret construction documents and blueprints.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to drive between communities.
• Knowledge of building codes and permitting processes.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction schedule to deliver quality homes on time and within budget.
• Schedule subcontractors and monitor workmanship for compliance.
• Complete each home site from planning to occupancy per contract obligations.
• Inspect work, halt noncompliant activities, and ensure standards are met.
• Authorize payments to subcontractors after inspections.
• Oversee the customer experience during construction and provide regular updates.
• Maintain site cleanliness and safety; monitor warranty and post-close activities.
• Communicate progress to homeowners and internal teams; stay current with codes.
• Collaborate with sales, warranty and management to resolve issues proactively.
• Possess in-depth knowledge of DRH Construction applications and procedures.
