Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking a Superintendent to manage the entire home building process from permit to closing.

You will schedule and supervise job site subcontractors, conduct homeowner walkthroughs, and ensure adherence to safety standards and quality workmanship. Ideal candidates will have 2–4 years of related experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to drive between communities while maintaining project budgets and timelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Two to four years related experience.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents, drawings, specifications.
• Knowledge of municipal permitting, regulations and building codes.
• Strong communication skills and customer service orientation.
• Proficiency with MS Office and DRH Construction applications.

Responsibilities

• Manage the construction schedule to deliver the home on time and within budget.
• Schedule subcontractors for each phase and ensure quality and compliance with codes and standards.
• Complete each home site from planning through occupancy.
• Inspect workmanship and halt noncompliant work; authorize payments when criteria are met.
• Oversee the customer experience and provide regular progress communications to homeowners.
• Maintain site cleanliness and manage the post-close warranty process.
• Collaborate with sales and management to ensure proactive issue resolution.
