Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking a Superintendent to lead on-site construction across multiple home communities. You will manage scheduling, quality, safety, and customer walkthroughs from permit to closing.

You will coordinate subcontractors, ensure code compliance, and protect budget while delivering a high-quality home experience for buyers. The role requires coordinating with sales and warranty teams to ensure smooth transitions and proactive issue resolution.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; two to four years of related construction experience.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents, drawings, and specs.
• Proficiency with MS Office and DRH Construction apps; valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction schedule and ensure high quality product is delivered on time and within budget
• Schedule subcontractors for each phase of construction and evaluate quality and efficiency to meet codes and company standards
• Complete each home site on schedule from planning through occupancy and satisfy contract obligations
• Inspect subcontractor workmanship and ensure compliance; halt noncompliant work
• Manage the customer experience through the entire construction process; conduct homeowner orientation and regular progress communications
