Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking a Superintendent to manage all functions of the job site for home construction, coordinating subcontractors, scheduling inspections, and maintaining safety and quality standards.

The role emphasizes customer service and on-time delivery across multiple homes from permit to closing. Ideal candidates will have strong communication skills, be proficient with MS Office, and be able to drive between communities with a valid license.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• 2–4 years related construction experience.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents and drawings.
• Knowledge of municipal permitting, regulations and building codes.
• Ability to control cost overruns and manage a budget.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to drive among communities.
• Proficiency with MS Office and email.

Responsibilities

• Manage the construction schedule and ensure high-quality homes are delivered on time and within budget.
• Schedule and supervise subcontractors for each phase of construction and ensure workmanship meets plans and codes.
• Complete each home site from planning through occupancy, satisfying all obligations.
• Inspect subcontractor workmanship and authorize payments when standards are met.
• Manage the customer experience throughout the construction process and communicate progress.
