Job summary

D.R. Horton is seeking a Superintendent to manage multiple home construction sites from permit to closing. You will schedule subcontractors, drive quality control, and ensure on-time delivery while maintaining safety standards.

Ideal candidates have 2–4 years in construction, strong communication skills, and the ability to read plans and manage budgets. This role requires mobility among communities and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two to four years related construction experience.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents, drawings, specs, scopes of work.
• Knowledge of municipal permitting, regulations and building codes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; customer-focused.

Responsibilities

• Manage the construction schedule to deliver high-quality homes on time and within budget.
• Coordinate subcontractors for each phase and ensure code compliance and workmanship standards.
• Oversee site from planning to occupancy and fulfill contract obligations.
• Inspect subcontractor work and halt noncompliant activities as needed.
• Authorize payment to subcontractors after verification of completed work and materials received.
• Ensure a positive customer experience throughout construction and provide regular progress updates.
