Job summary

D.R. Horton, Inc. is seeking a Superinten dent to manage multiple home sites from permit to occupancy, coordinating subcontractors, homeowner walks, and inspections while upholding safety and quality standards.

The successful candidate will drive execution across phases, maintain schedules, and deliver a quality product on time. The ideal applicant has a high school diploma (GED acceptable), 2–4 years of related construction experience, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two to four years related experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents, drawings, and specifications.
• Must have a vehicle and valid driver’s license; travel among communities.
• Ability to manage schedules, budgets, and safety standards on site.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction schedule to deliver high quality homes on time and within budget.
• Schedule subcontractors for all construction phases and inspect workmanship for compliance.
• Complete each home site from planning to occupancy and satisfy contract obligations.
• Inspect subcontractors and halt nonconforming work; approve payments after verification.
• Oversee customer experience during construction and communicate progress to homeowners.
• Maintain site cleanliness and ensure safety and compliance with codes.
• Manage post-close warranty process and coordinate warranty service.
