Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a seasoned engineering leader to manage a project team designing, modifying, and analyzing high voltage substations. You will oversee engineers and designers from concept through field support and closeout while ensuring quality, schedule, and budget adherence.

The role requires deep HV substation experience, strong client liaison skills, and the ability to coordinate multi-discipline work across electrical, civil, and structural scopes.

Qualifications

• BS from an ABET-accredited engineering program or an advanced management/business degree.
• Experience with multi-discipline utility HV substations (electrical, civil, structural).
• 20+ years in design of multi-discipline solutions for substations and related systems.
• 5+ years leading engineering design teams through all project phases.
• Knowledge of NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEC, IEEE and ANSI standards.
• Willingness to travel to project sites and attend client meetings.

Responsibilities

• Direct the Team Lead in coordinating engineering and design from concept to detailed design, field support, and closeout.
• Lead efforts to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Coordinate and execute facility studies for various RTOs.
• Prepare reports and studies with clear, client-friendly presentations.
• Perform independent reviews of work, calculations, and drawings.
