Qualus is seeking a Lead Substation Engineer to drive design of high-voltage substations and mentor junior engineers. You will develop code-compliant solutions, coordinate with clients, and lead projects from concept through construction.

This role supports remote work within the United States with a preference for hybrid schedules near listed office locations, including Lake Mary, FL, and others. You will contribute to safety, reliability, and the future of the electric grid.

Competenze

• ABET-accredited Bachelor's in Electrical/Power Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in substation physical design.
• Strong documentation and organization skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Mansioni

• Design power utility substations per codes and client standards.
• Create ground grids, lightning protection, and grounding plans.
• Perform load, bus span, and ampacity calculations.
• Develop equipment specifications, scope and cost estimates.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams and clients to ensure project success.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers.
• Review design packages for QA/QC compliance.
