ABB in the United States is seeking a Senior Technical Business Developer to expand the Grid Automation portfolio. The role blends deep grid engineering with a sharp market strategy, engaging utilities and partners to accelerate growth across the U.S. market.

This is a remote position with preference for Cary, NC or Houston, TX. Reporting to the Product Marketing Director, you will lead market strategy, carry presales technical activities, influence grid standards, and build strategic

Formación

• 9+ years in technical business development in grid automation or power systems.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. utility market dynamics and standards (IEEE/IEC 61850).
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with SaaS or subscription models in energy.
• Familiarity with DERMS, DLR, and network state estimation tech.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% domestically and internationally.

Responsabilidades

• Lead U.S. growth by identifying opportunities, shaping market penetration strategies.
• Act as gridautomation SME; lead presales activities and support solution design.
• Contribute to IEEE/IEC standards and interoperability frameworks.
• Build strategic partnerships and channel field insights to evolve offerings such as SSC600, SMU600, and CogniEN.
