Job summary

Nelnet is seeking a Senior Account Manager for the Grant & Aid/Scholarship Granting Organization (G&A/SGO) team. You will lead end-to-end implementation, manage accounts, and drive client satisfaction through proactive support and training.

The role requires strong Excel, CRM, and collaboration skills across Sales, Product, IT Development, and Operations. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience is preferred, with 2+ years in a customer service or account management role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of two years in a customer service or account management role preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis).
• Strong knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and collaboration tools.
• Experience with AI tools to optimize workflows and client interactions.
• Extensive understanding of the FACTS Grant & Aid solution.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultative support during the sales process by assessing client needs and demonstrating the Grant & Aid system.
• Lead all implementation aspects for the G&A solution tailored to SGOs and related groups.
• Build relationships with client contacts via proactive outreach and training delivery.
• Guide clients in the use of value-added services such as awarding processes and reporting.
• Manage awarding functions, document reviews, training seminars, and specialized reports.
• Stay informed on evolving tax laws and state tax credit programs.
• Define and maintain internal procedures for servicing SGOs and similar clients.
• Serve as a G&A subject matter expert to internal teams.
• Foster collaboration across Sales, Product, IT, and Operations and review system updates.
• Manage escalated issues with root cause analysis and preventive strategies.
• Represent the FACTS Operations Team and act as a decision-maker in leadership’s absence.
• Coordinate and resolve functionality tickets through ADO and follow up.
• Support the Training Team with refresher sessions and group training.
