Job summary

Navan in the United States is seeking a dynamic, service-oriented events professional to lead end-to-end planning for key clients. You will collaborate with operational leaders and the wider events organization to maximize commercial revenue and deliver exceptional experiences.

You will oversee program coordination, sourcing, contract review, payments, and financial reconciliation, while guiding the project team on client needs and business rules.

Qualifications

• Proven experience planning a variety of events including meetings and venue sourcing.
• 2+ years of current, relevant meeting and event planning experience, nationally and internationally.
• Strong client-facing, consultative, and presentation skills.
• Excellent negotiation and budgeting capabilities.
• Able to collaborate across teams and ensure profitable events.

Responsibilities

• Oversee coordination and execution of end-to-end event programs with a focus on operations.
• Manage client events including sourcing, contracts, offsite activities, payments, invoicing, and reconciliation.
• Lead events from conception through delivery and financial reconciliation.
• Collaborate with client contacts to meet program objectives and outcomes.
• Provide guidance to project teams on client needs, rules, and objectives.
• Develop and manage client event budgets and ensure profitability.
• Negotiate cost savings with preferred partners to maximize income opportunities.
• Coordinate setups for function rooms, AV, and F&B.
• Provide on-site support as needed and prepare debriefs for stakeholders.
