Job summary

Fivetran is seeking a dedicated dbt community manager to lead the dbt Slack community, creating a welcoming, high-signal space for data practitioners to connect, learn, and collaborate. You will partner with internal teams to evolve channel strategy, build moderation workflows, and surface community insights to Product, Marketing, and Support, shaping daily engagement across regions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in digital community management
• Experience owning day-to-day operations for large online communities
• Strong understanding of online community dynamics
• Experience building moderation and support workflows
• Excellent written communication and facilitation
• Data-informed with KPIs for engagement
• Cross-functional collaboration with Product/Marketing/Support

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day operations of the dbt Slack community
• Partner with community leaders and internal stakeholders to evolve channel strategy and engagement programming
• Develop and maintain scalable moderation and support workflows (triage, escalation paths, response playbooks) including Code of Conduct enforcement
• Coach and onboard moderators; recruit and onboard new moderators as community grows
• Create content systems that keep members informed and activated (announcements, highlights, prompts)
• Surface community insights to Product, Marketing, and Support; close the loop with the community on outcomes
• Monitor and report on engagement metrics and run experiments to improve them
• Manage the community tool stack for digital engagement (Slack workflows, analytics, knowledge base)
• Plan for and manage incident response with Legal/People/Security as needed
• Support cross-channel digital engagement beyond Slack (forums, social, events)
