Job summary

Fivetran, Inc. is looking for a seasoned Digital Community Manager to lead our dbt community initiatives. You will own day-to-day operations of the dbt Slack, foster a welcoming space for data practitioners, and partner with product and marketing to drive engagement.

The role requires 5+ years in community management, strong moderation capabilities, and experience with Slack workflows and analytics. This position offers opportunities to shape global community strategy and cross-functional

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in digital community management, online engagement, or community program management.
• Demonstrated experience owning day-to-day operations for a large online community (Slack/Discord/forum).
• Strong understanding of online community dynamics and how to cultivate trust and belonging at scale.
• Experience building and improving moderation and support workflows, including Code of Conduct enforcement.
• Excellent written communication and facilitation skills.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day operations of the dbt Slack community, ensuring a welcoming, high-signal experience for members worldwide.
• Partner with community leaders and internal stakeholders to evolve channel strategy and engagement programming.
• Develop and maintain scalable moderation and support workflows including code of conduct enforcement.
• Coach and support moderators; recruit and onboard new moderators as the community grows.
• Create content systems to keep members informed and activated (announcements, highlights, prompts, storytelling).
• Surface community insights to Product, Marketing, and Support; close the loop with the community on outcomes.
