Job summary

Fivetran is seeking a dedicated member for our dbt community team to lead the Slack community, fostering a welcoming space for data practitioners worldwide. You will partner with internal teams to enhance engagement, establish guidelines, and scale moderator programs.

You will develop content systems, surface insights, and drive participation while collaborating with Product, Marketing, and Support to improve the member experience across time zones.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in digital community management or related field.
• Experience owning day-to-day operations for large online communities (Slack/Discord/forum).
• Strong understanding of online community dynamics and building trust at scale.
• Experience building/moderation workflows and Code of Conduct enforcement.
• Excellent written communication and facilitation skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage dbt Slack community day-to-day to ensure welcoming, high-signal experience.
• Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Support to improve community health.
• Develop and maintain moderation/workflows, triage/escalation paths, and conduct enforcement.
• Recruit, onboard, and coach moderators; grow the community program.
• Create content systems (announcements, prompts, highlights) to activate members.
• Surface insights to Product/Marketing/Support and close loops on outcomes.
• Monitor engagement metrics and run experiments to improve health.
