Job summary

Fivetran, a leader in data integration, is looking for a skilled dbt community manager to grow and nurture the global dbt Slack community. You will partner with internal teams to shape engagement programs and ensure a welcoming, high-signal space for data practitioners worldwide.

The role emphasizes moderation workflows, incident response, and measurable outcomes, with exposure to product and marketing teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in digital community management or similar roles.
• Experience owning day-to-day operations for large online communities.
• Ability to build scalable moderation and support workflows.
• Strong written communication and facilitation skills.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day operations of the dbt Slack community worldwide.
• Partner with leaders to evolve channel strategy and engagement programs.
• Develop and maintain moderation workflows including Code of Conduct enforcement.
• Coach moderators and onboard new moderators as the community grows.
• Create content systems to keep members informed and activated.
• Surface insights to Product, Marketing, Support; close the loop with outcomes.
• Monitor engagement metrics and run experiments to improve them.
• Manage the community tool stack and document best practices.
• Plan incident response with Legal/People/Security as needed.
• Support cross-channel digital engagement beyond Slack.
